The hidden rose apple was accidentally discovered when a farmer took a bite in an apple on his orchard and found that the flesh was pink/red, the farm was then sold and 20 years later apple was rediscovered by Louis Kimzey.

The first full Hidden Rose Apple orchard was planted inn 1992. The skin is a pale yellow color with blushes of pink throughout, the flavor is sweet with a bit of tartness also, very delicious. The apple is crisp and juicy with flavors similar to strawberry lemonade.
